Servant Leadership Development
Areas of Responsibility:
Servant Leadership Development is a Montana centered network dedicated to the identification and nurturing of leadership based on the model of Jesus Christ. Through a relational style ministry, efforts are taken to encourage others to walk with Christ and strategically impact their community and society. This is accomplished by establishing relationships with individuals and the promotion of mentoring situations in one-on-one and small group settings. Areas of specific interest include the role Jesus Christ may play in spiritual applications, moral issues and community based relationships.
Specific Goals and Activities for 2013:
1. Our purpose and objective is to love God with all our heart, soul, and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We strive to reflect the Spirit of Christ by living as an example of Christ's love in our family and by being open to give of ourselves, as God would direct, to young men and women. We will make ourselves available to encourage friends in their walk with Christ modeling the importance of building community so that accountable Christ centered relationships may continue through their lives.
2. Local: To meet with men and women for the purpose of discipleship, evangelism, and leadership development.
a. Identify leaders who are personally supported in local ministries and be actively involved in their training.
b. Alpha Omega House (#455002) a residential housing model at the University of Montana where students can live in community based on the model of Jesus. There they regularly look at the life of Jesus, build relationships with the other residents and seek ways to be philanthropic. We will look to establish a development plan for the Alpha Omega House both for the physical property and for house culture and ministry vision.
c. Encourage college students and young adults, whom God has brought us into relationship with, in their understanding of Jesus Christ and His relevance to their life. We will strive to encourage students involved in some form of discipleship and ministry. This will be done with individual and group interaction, meeting one-on-one biweekly or monthly and facilitating some type of weekly group time.

4. Become available for God and others as a resource for needs. Specifically to be "on call" as special spiritual, physical and emotional needs are presented.
5. Meet with or communicate monthly with our designated Responsible Associate.
6. State: To network men and women together for the purpose of strengthening the body of Christ and building the kingdom of God. This would include:

- Discipleship of men and women from various backgrounds to walk with Christ.
- Build mutual accountability and help to secure foundations from which these may disciple others.
- Encouragement of men and women, who have a personal relationship with Christ, to uphold the integrity of Christ in their daily lives through personal contact.
- Befriend men and women who do not know Christ and build relationships with them and provide opportunities for them to make a commitment to follow Jesus Christ.
- Act as a resource for those who are in need by meeting personal needs as we are capable and networking other sources as a potential resource for identified needs.
- Build on the principles of John 13:35, where love for one another is the identifying mark of a believer in Christ by linking together men and women from various backgrounds who have an interest in Christ. In concert with this we encourage the building of communication and understanding between all people by considering the model of Jesus in every relationship.
