ADVENT at the AO

Well first off, we cheat: we decorate early, listen to Christmas music early, eat holiday treats early...we had our Christmas party on December 3! (27 stockings hung with care) It's also been almost a month of Christmas movies happening in our 24/7 basement Media Room. 

So what is Advent like here? We're still waiting. Waiting for finals to be over. Waiting for paper deadlines. Waiting to go home and be with family (unless you're Laura and me and our 4 kids; we live here). 

Deep underneath all that, we're waiting for Jesus. To come into our stress. To come into our grief, and loss, and ADHD. To come back, and make all things new again. 

It'll happen. Someday.

​Until then, we're waiting. (And watching Christmas Horror Movies. Don't judge.)
